    The introduction of the geraniol:

Uses: Widely used in floral daily flavors, can be used in fruity flavors such as apple, strawberry, cinnamon, ginger and other flavors, and can also be made into ester flavors. Geraniol is the main agent of rose flavors, and is also an indispensable flavoring raw material in various floral flavors. It can also be regarded as a sweetener and can be used to prepare food, soap, and daily cosmetic flavors. Products made from natural essential oils contain more than 90% geraniol when used in food and daily cosmetic flavors, and more than 80% geraniol when used in soap flavors. Industrial products geraniol and nerol are raw materials for making vanillin, vanillin, citral, hydroxyvanillin, ionone and vitamin A. Various esters synthesized with geraniol are also good flavors. It is used as medicine for antibacterial and anthelmintic; it has a good effect in the clinical treatment of chronic bronchitis. It not only improves lung ventilation function and reduces airway resistance, but also is beneficial to improving the body's immune function, and has the advantages of fast onset and small side effects.

    Pharmacological effects:
    1. Antibacterial: It has antibacterial and antifungal effects. The minimum inhibitory concentration for Trichophyton mentagrophytes and Microsporum audouinii is 0.39mg/ml.
    2. Anthelmintic: It has the effect of expelling guinea pig roundworms.
    3. Others: Small doses can inhibit the spontaneous activity of rats. Oral administration to rats can inhibit gastrointestinal motility (slowing down the passage of chyme), but has little effect on large intestine motility. It has a laxative effect when close to the lethal dose. Oral administration of a small amount has a mild diuretic effect on rats.
Toxicity: It has a certain degree of toxicity. The oral LD50 of rats is 4.8g/kg, and the intravenous injection of rabbits is 50mg/kg. It has a good effect in the clinical treatment of chronic bronchitis.
