2025 Shanghai CAC Exhibition :Enpowering Agriculture with Nature: Essential Oil Innovation
In agriculture, more attention has been paid to limit the amount of chemical plant protection products. A potential alternative solution has been found in essential oils (EOs), which appear as promising candidates for their properties (safe, bioactive, biodegradable products) in managing plant diseases in agriculture.
essential oils are oily substances that look similar to the vegetable oils we usually cook, but they are fundamentally different. Essential oils are composed of terpenes, aldehydes, esters, alcohols and other molecules, while the main components of vegetable oils are triglycerides and fatty acids. Essential oils, although called "oils," are not at all greasy and usually evaporate completely without leaving a greasy stain or residue.
