Essential Oil Tips from Hairui Company
essential oil Tips:
1.Application Areas and Concentrations:Facial skin is relatively sensitive; therefore, the typical dilution ratio is 1% to 2%. For body areas, the concentration may be increased appropriately, reaching a dilution ratio of 2% to 5%. On the face, avoid applying undiluted essential oils over large areas; instead, opt for relatively tolerant spots such as behind the ears or on the neck. For other body parts—such as the limbs or back—essential oils may be applied as needed, provided they have been correctly diluted.
2.Special Populations: Individuals with sensitive skin, pregnant women, those applying products to the delicate skin around the eyes, those with open wounds or skin lesions, and young children should avoid using untested essential oils. Before use, it is advisable to perform a patch test on a small area of skin—such as behind the ear—and observe the area for 24 hours; proceed with a small amount only if no discomfort or adverse reaction occurs. Due to hormonal fluctuations during pregnancy, certain essential oils may interfere with the endocrine system or stimulate uterine contractions; therefore, oils such as basil, clary sage, and geranium should be strictly avoided. The skin around the eyes is extremely thin and delicate; applying essential oils directly to this area can easily cause irritation and discomfort, making it strictly forbidden to use essential oils in the immediate vicinity of the eyes. When the skin presents with open wounds or abrasions, applying essential oils can irritate the injury, cause pain, and hinder the healing process; therefore, essential oils should be applied while carefully avoiding the wounded area. Young children possess even more delicate skin and immature metabolic systems, making the use of essential oils a higher-risk endeavor; consequently, the use of essential oils for skincare is generally not recommended for children under the age of 12.
