    Introduction of Gardenia Oil

    HOW IS GARDENIA OIL MADE?

Extracted directly from the flower, gardenia essential oil is processed through the enfleurage process.
Gardenia Oil is typically extracted from the flower of Gardenia jasminoides. A lengthy process, extracting the essence of gardenias involves the use of odorless animal fats and storing it at room temperature.

Core Applications of Gardenia Essential Oil

    1. Aromatherapy: Diffusing the aroma through an aromatherapy diffuser can help soothe emotions, relieve anxiety, and create a relaxing atmosphere. It is suitable for use before bed or during times of stress.

    2. Skin Care: Dilute (e.g., with a carrier oil) and apply a small amount to the face or body to moisturize dry skin and improve roughness. However, a skin test should be performed first.

    3. Mood Regulation: Inhaling directly (e.g., applying 1-2 drops to a tissue) can help calm tension and enhance mood.

    Major Contraindications

    • - Avoid direct skin contact: Undiluted essential oils are highly concentrated and can easily cause skin allergies and redness. Dilute 1%-2% with a carrier oil (e.g., jojoba oil or sweet almond oil) before use.
    • - Avoid use on pregnant and breastfeeding women: Due to the lack of sufficient safety data, use is not recommended for these individuals to avoid potential risks.
    • - Avoid use on infants and young children: Due to their delicate skin and immature bodily functions, use of this essential oil on infants and young children is contraindicated or should be used only in very small amounts under the guidance of a qualified physician.
    • - Photosensitivity Note: Some gardenia essential oils contain mild photosensitizers. If you will be exposed to sunlight for extended periods after application, please use sunscreen or choose to use at night.
    • - Allergy Test: Before first use, apply diluted essential oil behind the ear or on the inside of the wrist. Observe for 24 hours. If no redness, swelling, or itching occurs, continue use as normal.
