    Mainly Oral Benefits

    1. Relieves Toothache and Sensitivity

Eugenol blocks nerve pain signal transmission. Applying it directly to the painful area can quickly relieve short-term toothache caused by pulpitis, caries, or gingivitis.

For tooth sensitivity, clove oil can temporarily reduce the permeability of dentinal tubules and reduce discomfort from hot and cold stimuli.

    2. Inhibits Oral Pathogens

Studies have shown that clove oil has a significant inhibitory effect on Streptococcus mutans (a cariogenic bacterium) and Porphyromonas gingivalis (a periodontal pathogen), reducing plaque formation and aiding in the prevention of caries and periodontal disease.

    3. Promotes Oral Ulcer Healing

Clove oil reduces ulcer redness, swelling, and pain through its anti-inflammatory properties, while also forming a protective film to reduce external irritation.

Applying a small amount to the ulcer surface with a cotton swab once or twice daily can accelerate healing (diluted before use).

    4. Improves Bad Breath

Its antibacterial properties can reduce the presence of anaerobic bacteria in the mouth that break down food debris, thereby reducing the production of volatile sulfur compounds at the source and temporarily improving bad breath.

    II. Usage Precautions

    Must be diluted:

Pure clove oil is too concentrated and may cause burns upon direct contact with mucous membranes. It is recommended to mix it with a carrier oil (such as coconut oil) in a 1:5 ratio.

    Short-term emergency use:

Seek medical attention immediately after toothache relief to avoid masking the condition and delaying treatment.

    Allergy testing:

Apply to the inside of your wrist before first use and observe for 24 hours. Discontinue use if redness or swelling occurs.

Use with caution in special populations:

Pregnant and breastfeeding women, children under 6 years of age, and children under 6 years of age should use under the guidance of a doctor.

If oral problems persist for more than 3 days or are accompanied by fever or facial swelling, consult a doctor immediately to check for infection. Clove oil should not replace standard dental treatment. Severe caries and pulp necrosis require professional intervention.
